Sussex Prairies is open from 1pm until 5pm six afternoons a week. We are always Closed on a Tuesday.

Our final day of opening for our 2018 season will be Sunday 14th October 2018. We shall then open again on 1st June 2019.

Folk Tales Mini Course and Tea Time with Anne Kelly

Join textile artist, author and tutor Anne Kelly for a workshop at the lovely Sussex Prairie Garden on Saturday 1 September 2018. From 9am – 2pm you will be making a mini folk banner that can be displayed on a wall or used as part of a larger piece. Techniques including block printing, appliqué and hand stitching will be used. Folk motifs and natural elements inspired by the garden will be used. A full list of materials required will be sent to participants before the course.

Cost of workshop £ 40 per place including materials.

In the afternoon join Anne for an exhibition of her folk inspired work and a book signing of her latest ‘Textile Folk Art’. Books will be available for purchase and signing – alongside the delicious varieties of cake and tea on offer at the Garden’s café.
