Join us on a journey around our garden....
Filmed summer 2010 and broadcast on BBC Gardeners World in October 2010
Our plants are mainly herbaceous perennial plants. What they have in common is not so much their striking flowers (some of them are indeed beautiful) but their whole appearance : their habit, leaf shape flowering seedhead and winter silhouette.
They are plants that on the whole need little maintenance and can stand wear and tear be it from people or animals or forces of nature.
Planted in loose large drifts these plants give the appearance of being wild but have in fact been specifically bred for their particular characteristics.
A truly natural look also arises with the large number of birds, insects, butterflies and small mammals that are attraced to such a planting.
