We will be exploring the art of creating abstract compositions from reality and expressive mark making.
Using the garden and foliage as inspiration we will make marks in ink and paint looking for shapes and textures.
We will then select and cut up these studies to create multiple collage layouts that can be used for reference into a final small painting. Small plans or thumbnail sketches will develop as you process. You might work on a small series with colour or refine one idea into a final small canvas.
Learn how to create rich abstract pieces inspired by the beauty of our surroundings.
Suitable for absolute beginners as well as those looking to broaden their style.
Costs: £60 with all materials and garden entry.
All materials will be included in the price.
