Tutor: Emma Taylor
Dates: Friday 12th October 2018 Times: 10am-2pm
Course outline:Collage for the Soul
Costs: £55 per workshop
Collage can be used as a form of self expression to explore hopes and dreams and create visual memoirs. In this workshop we will be using mixed media to create a collage (or two!) ready to be framed which will develop from a personal theme.
We will use fragments of textures and magazine rips to spontaneously layer images and symbols to create narrative. Words, poetry and affirmations can also be used to explore and record relationships and illustrate stories. We will be inspired by varied contemporary artists and will explore a rich variety of themes.
We will use varied techniques including Phototransfer and recycle old pieces of gelliprints and collage materials. Pieces can be constructed to be slightly 3D and framed in a box frame.
This workshop does not require any specific artistic skills other than a playful mind.
All materials will be included in the price.
