Craft your own Shamanic Medicine Rattle
Sun, 8 Oct 2023, 10:00 – 13.30
Something magical happens when we come together in a safe space to craft and share.
Rattles are traditionally used all over the world in shamanic practice as valuable tools for healing, cleansing, protection and assisting shamanic journeys. The need for ritual is innate. We can create meaning via an activity to heighten a moment of change. It is also a chance to take time out from the routine of the day-to-day and to express that which is not often expressed. Join me in this workshop where you will craft your own medicine rattle, choosing the materials that resonate with you to fill and decorate your own sacred tool.
We will complete this work with a guided journey to enhance the connection between you and your newly made rattle and to know its unique medicine.
What to expect:
• An inclusive space to get into your creative flow.
• Opportunity to connect with yourself and others in a supportive environment.
• Guided practice to connect with the spirit of your rattle and to receive the medicine you need now.
• Time spent in a beautiful, nurturing, natural healing environment.
• A beautifully crafted, unique, bespoke sacred rattle to take home and keep.
What’s included:
• All materials to craft your rattle.
• Tea and coffee
• Free entry to the gardens for the remainder of the day.
The exchange for this workshop is £65, including materials and free entry to the gardens.
Note: pieces of animal hide are used in the making of the rattles. They are sourced as locally and ethically as possible, either from culled wild animals or those that have naturally died. The hide is a waste product. By using these hides in this way, I believe we can honour the life of the creature (goat, deer, stag, wild horse) and observe the principle of right-relationship enabling a healing connection with the animal’s spirit.
