Crazy Creature Cushions with Emma Taylor & Pauline McBride

Sussex Prairie Garden   Tutor: Pauline Mc Bride and Emma Taylor

Dates: Sunday 18th May 2025           Times: 10am-2pm

Course outline: Crazy Creature Cushions

Costs: £65 includes refreshments and garden entry.

Pauline and Emma will inspire you will a fabulous selection of textile and embellishment which will be used to create a crazy creature cushion. We will supply a basic template to scale up simple designs which will form the main body and then help you to select patterns and textures that will contrast for the main features of the animal. We will have a menagerie of animal motifs to choose from or you might bring a design based on one of your own pets. We will also experiment various stitch to add finer detail and texture to the piece. A well placed button will complete a rather squiffy dog or wonky eyed elephant.

This workshop does not require any specific artistic skills other than an open mind and a sense of play. We are certain that your cushion will fill you with quirky amusement and joy! You might become so addicted that you return home with ideas of creating a circus of crazy creature cushions to decorate your sofa or to gift to someone special.

This is the first time we have teamed up to teach and we guarantee fun and some very special outcomes!

Costs: £65 with all materials, tea, coffee and biscuits plus garden entry.

All materials will be included in the price.
