1 day Eco Print course 10th August

Eco-print dyeing is a fascinating way of printing onto fabric. You will use flowers and leaves from the Prairie Garden in a contact printing method that allows them to transfer their colour, texture and patterns. The effects and results you can get from a range of plants will fascinate you. This course is an exploration into the surprising and exciting effects that can be achieved by wrapping plants in cloth.

It is possible to gain results in a 1-day course. You will unwrap at least half your bundles on the day and be encouraged to leave the other half for some days to dry out naturally before unwrapping. You will make 6 fabric samples and if you have any spare time I will introduce you to a little rust dyeing with paper.

1 or day 2 Ecoprint course 11th August for beginners or those who wish to extend their experience

If you are on day 1 please read above. If you are returning for a second day you will need a second pack of fabric and can make some more samples using the same methods or you can increase your experiments with rust dyeing. If you are expecting to focus on paper dyeing you will need to purchase a pack of paper instead of fabric.

Costs

Book 1 or both days. £55 per day.

Special offers – Book 2 workshops pay £100 or book 3 workshops (select from other courses available pay £150. Early bird before May 1st £50, £95, £145

Please remember that there will be an additional cost for pre-pared for dye/print fabric.

Enjoy the garden café break with its tempting cakes and filled rolls and free entry to the garden later in the afternoon.

Beautifully planted area, in which you are encouraged to walk along paths between the plants so can be completely surrounded by foliage - a lovely effect.
