Our next super Event will be our Beautiful and Useful Craft Fair this coming weekend 14th and 15th September - 11am until 5pm - expect over 30 exhibitors all set in a glorious garden setting . Delicious refreshments , live music ,art exhibition , plant sale and of course homemade cake. Dogs very welcome !
This 1 – day course includes all materials you need to make up to 15 handmade and high quality notecards/blank for messages cards. This is a fascinating way of exploring botanical forms on paper. You will use local and familiar flowers and leaves with a contact printing method that allows them to transfer their colour, texture and patterns. The effects and results you can get from a range of plants is quite magical. You will learn the process of layering plants, mordants and paper together before steaming your bundles in a steel pot. Your outcomes will reveal surprising and exciting effects that you will allow to dry at home after the course. All card stock and tape preparation will be completed on the day so that you’re your prints have dried at home it will take you just 30 minutes to complete the finished notelets/cards. The aim will be to equip you with sufficient skills to get started at home after the course.
Materials you will use: 350g watercolour paper to fit DL sized Conqueror premium envelopes DL (100mm x 210mm). Detailed notes will be sent to you after course completion.
