Join Emily in the garden where she will demonstrate techniques centered around her own watercolour practise and references to other watercolour artists that share a love of painting outside in a variety of ways.
Each session will have a demonstration of application and approaches to the medium. The day will build on confidence to enjoy the medium beyond this course.
Who is it aimed for? Enthusiastic learners of all ages from beginners to those who want to try a different approach.

Emily is an accomplished painter and teacher of watercolour, in and around Brighton for the last 20 years. She is a member of The Sussex Watercolour Society and exhibits her work regularly.
Emily enjoys returning each summer to the beautiul Sussex prairies gardens. She introduces groups to watercolour in traditional and more experimental ways, demonstrates techniques that are centred around her own practice and references to past and present watercolourists artists that share the love and diversity of the medium. The day begins with quick exercises that help beginners and intermediates gain confidence with the medium and can use when at home or on holiday. The sessions are around building on what you may already know and exploring individual approaches to recording the beautiful garden in front of us.
