GELLIPRINT…What next?
Phototransfer gelliprinting and magazine transfer.
Posca pen, biro and photocopy transfer.
Charcoal drawing and lino transfer.
We will experience the chaotic joys of gelliprinting to produce layered, patterned and textured backgrounds. These numerous prints which are made using layers of acrylic paints will explore the harmonious and vibrant colours and textures of the garden. So easy, so messy but sometimes unpredictable…in a creative way!
We have also been perfecting charcoall drawing transfer and a new lino print transfer so I will demonstrate these new techniques.
We will also be drawing directly onto the gelliplate as well as trying biro intaglio effects to print. So many ways to work with layering and colour.
I will introduce you to techniques of transferring photographic images onto the Gelliprints to create aesthetic compositions, sensitive colour combinations and beautiful pieces that are individual to you. We will use contrasting photographic images with varied themes to expand your work further.
You may wish to bring in your own photocopies of photographs to use. You could include photographs of plants or faces that are personal to you. Any images must be photocopies and in clolour (laser prints and not inkjet) to transfer cleanly.
We will also be experimenting with magazine transfer using the gelli plates which can produce beautiful ghostly prints far removed from the original images.
Costs: £65 with all materials, tea, coffee and biscuits plus garden entry.
