Lucy Dean is one of the artists exhibiting in the Prairie Gardens Gallery in the UNFURL exhibition . gallery this year. She is exhibiting her work in progress for an animation story inspired by the Sussex Prairie Gardens. During this workshop we will use / make figures and simple environments and backgrounds to create sets. And then use a mobile phone app to make short stop motion animations. The app Lucy uses is the free version of Stop Motion Studio. She likes to work with minimal fuss and as low tech as possible. Being creative with less encourages creative problem solving.
The course is suitable for all abilities, 16 years and over.
The workshop takes take place in the gallery surrounded by inspiring artwork indoors and it is possible to film outdoors too, although the weather and lighting can affect continuity in filming.
Materials for the workshop will be provided but so that everyone can work on their own film please bring your mobile phone and download the free app Stop Motion Studio. Also if you came on the previous model making course, bring along the models you made, or any other objects / figures you would like to use.
Numbers on the course maximum 10
Cost per person £65 includes materials and tea, coffee and biscuits. Price also includes entry into the Prairie gardens, you can stay as long as you like after the workshop. Do not miss the opportunity to enjoy the gardens.
