Making Fabric Flowers with Esther Collins

 

Learn how to make a variety of beautiful machine embroidered fabric flowers, suitable for all sorts of embellishments and accessories. Then enjoy adding beads, buttons or sequins to complete your pieces. Suitable for those who have some experience in machine embroidery. Note: You will need to bring your own sewing machine, with embroidery foot and thread, but wheelbarrows will be available in the car park for transportation!

 

Cost of workshop £65, including materials and entry to the gardens.

Biography

 Esther Collins is a Textile Artist and Tutor, who uses fabric, paper and stitch to make mixed media collages, embroidered pictures and vessels. Inspired by the natural environment, plants and flowers often feature in her work. She is a member of the Society for Embroidered Work, is an exhibiting artist and runs weekly workshops from her home studio.
