Sussex Prairie Garden is open until 13th October 2024. Our opening days and hours are wednesday to sunday . 1pm until 5pm . Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays . Dogs are welcome.
Our next super Event will be our Beautiful and Useful Craft Fair this coming weekend 14th and 15th September - 11am until 5pm - expect over 30 exhibitors all set in a glorious garden setting . Delicious refreshments , live music ,art exhibition , plant sale and of course homemade cake. Dogs very welcome !
Relax, breathe, listen, let go of expectations and tune into the beauty of your surroundings. Come into this beautiful garden and creatively explore its visual, and tactile delights.
In June the Prairie Garden is just beginning to grow into itself, with a sense of emergence, of burgeoning growth. On this creative workshop you will be experimenting with making marks and simple abstract compositions. Daubs of colour, painting with fingers, homemade tools and natural materials.
The emphasis will be on play and experimentation, with simple mindful meditation exercises to awaken the senses. You will be encouraged to experiment with mixed media to make a series of small studies inspired by the colours, shapes and sensations of the garden. Suitable for all.
9am meet/9.30am start with tuition until 2pm each day (access to the garden and limited access to studio until 5pm each day)
Cost: £160* (includes garden entry fee, tuition and studio space 9am – 2pm with hot drinks and biscuits available during the workshop) *Paper and some materials can be
provided for an additional £5
