Sussex Prairies will not be open to the general public for visiting in 2026 . We shall however be picking the prairie garden for fabulous cut flowers with a difference for weddings , funerals and all other celebrations . Now you can get more bang for your bucket (of flowers) throughout our season June to October
We are delighted to be welcoming Silver Strings back to Sussex Prairies for an afternoon of fun and musical cheer .Silver Strings, Brighton & Hove’s very own later-starter community string band, has been running since early 2013 and throughout the pandemic via Zoom. So far we have introduced 200+ older people to playing stringed instruments and numbers are growing. We meet weekly to choose, play and devise music together: we play a wide range of material including folk tunes, classical themes, and popular melodies.
The band will play two sets of 40 minutes each from 2pm with a break somewhere in the middle !
