Come along to Sussex Prairies and spend time creating a beautiful mixed media piece of Textile art using pre made ‘paper cloth’, transfer printed plants, fabric trimmings, found images, paints, organza & stitch.
During the day you will get the opportunity to produce small pieces of transfer printing using plants to incorporate into your textiles work. This wonderful technique lets you create very detailed images of plants directly onto fabric using disperse dyes and we will also draw plants using transfer inks and pencils.
I will guide you through the process of using my sewing machines and their various stitch settings before starting your piece. This workshop is suitable for all abilities and if you have little or no experience using the sewing machine I will make sure you get plenty of support – You’ll be feeling confident in no time!
All materials are provided to make a textile piece approx. A4 in size which can be developed into an A5 note book cover or kept as a gorgeous piece to frame… the choice is yours! !
9am – 2pm 7th September 2019
Tickets are £55 person. Via my website www.mothstudiotextiles
Please note there is a booking fee if buying through Eventbrite.
