Paper Collage: Honouring the Light with Sarah Pain

As the seasons change and the days grow shorter, this workshop will be a creative way to think about your hopes for the end of this year and into the next. Paper collage brings a wonderful freedom; we’ll use images, colours, text and texture – ripped or cut, layered and juxtaposed – to create a piece that will remind you of your hopes for the future in the months to come.

Did you ever play ‘consequences’ as a child? Well, to start the day, we’ll be playing it in its collage form (Exquisite Corpse) to create group artworks. This is a perfect way to free up your creativity; it’s hard to be precious when you’ll be passing your work to the next person!

Sarah will then guide you through prompt questions to help focus thoughts about your future hopes. These will in turn inspire ideas for the composition of your own final-piece collage which will be in a concertina form.

This workshop is kind to the environment as most of the materials provided are reclaimed, making it a truly sustainable creative craft session. It is suitable for all abilities including any creative wishing to expand their skill set.

Workshop Price: £60 includes all materials and garden entry, plus tea / coffee and homemade biscuits. Please bring a packed lunch.
