Phototransfer, gelliprinting and magazine transfer with Emma Taylor

* THIS EVENT HAS NOW FINISHED *

Saturday 8th October 2022 | 10:00am - 2:00pm

Phototransfer, gelliprinting and magazine transfer with Emma Taylor

We will experience the chaotic joys of gelliprinting to produce layered, patterned and textured backgrounds. These numerous prints which are made using layers of acrylic paints will explore the harmonious and vibrant colours and textures of the garden. So easy, so messy but sometimes unpredictablein a creative way!

I will introduce you to techniques of transferring photographic images onto the Gelliprints to create aesthetic compositions, sensitive colour combinations and beautiful pieces that are individual to you. We will use contrasting photographic images with varied themes to expand your work further.Y

You may wish to bring in your own photocopies of photographs to use. You could include photographs of plants or faces that are personal to you. Any images must be photocopies (laser prints and not inkjet) to transfer cleanly.

We will also be experimenting with magazine transfer using the gelli plates which can produce beautiful ghostly prints far removed from the original images.

Cost £60 per workshop

Cost for the day plus entry to garden and materials is £60

Beautifully planted area, in which you are encouraged to walk along paths between the plants so can be completely surrounded by foliage - a lovely effect.
