Our next super Event will be our Beautiful and Useful Craft Fair this coming weekend 14th and 15th September - 11am until 5pm - expect over 30 exhibitors all set in a glorious garden setting . Delicious refreshments , live music ,art exhibition , plant sale and of course homemade cake. Dogs very welcome !

Print Your Own Paper Wrap or Fabric Stash with Amanda Duke

2 day course – Wednesday 22nd June OR Thursday 23rd June  2022          9.00am – 2pm

Create layered and repeat pattern monoprints on paper & fabric

Max number of places – 8           Cost £80

This 1-day course includes all media including large sheets of Kraft recycled wrapping paper, wet strength tissues paper, printing inks, and print materials. If you wish you can bring along your own repurposed or prewashed plain cotton fabric to print. Those who do can create their very own fabric stash for small craft projects.

Have lots of fun creating repeat patterns and layered prints using found objects, vegetable slices, and garden foliage. You should be able to make around 5-15 A1 wrapping paper sheets or fabrics depending upon how fast you work. An experimental, free approach will be encouraged. You can also make some coordinated parcel labels as you go. If you really want to immerse yourself in this creative play with great outcomes you could book both consecutive dates.

 

The following media is included in the course cost.
Paper and Fabric printing inks and all other print resources will be available for the course. There will be plenty of trial print paper available.
Each member of the course will be given 15, A1-sized papers for print including Wet Strength Tissue, Brown Kraft Wrapping paper, Newsprint sheets.

Your course fee includes free entry to Sussex Prairie Gardens. You are welcome to wander around the gardens between 2 pm and 5 pm. There is also a wonderful cafe with fabulous homemade cakes that you can purchase during the course times and also afterward.

      Wonderful garden well worth a visit. Great variety of plants showing so many ways of portraying a garden layout. Must comment on the great tea and cakes selection, our dog loved the doggy ice cream!

      Beautifully planted area, in which you are encouraged to walk along paths between the plants so can be completely surrounded by foliage - a lovely effect.

      Tea room not brilliant nice cake but coffee in paper cup. No other options other then tea coffee and cake. Opening times short 1 to 5 but gardens beautiful
