Dates: Sunday 5th July or Sunday 11th October 2020 Times: 10am-2pm Course outline: Sketchbook Skills
Working in a sketchbook is a great place to experiment and try new approaches to art without the pressure of creating a masterpiece. It can be daunting starting a sketchbook but I will show you how to get started and how to gain confidence to develop your own style. We will be exploring varied media and create pages of backgrounds in a sketchbook which will follow your own theme or point of interest.
We will use varied techniques and recycle old pieces of work and collage materials. We will explore basic mark making to create elaborate doodles and observation drawing to build up your artistic skills.
Your sketchbook will become a fun and simple way of incorporating creative expression into everyday life and this workshop will inspire you to make time each day to be creative.
This workshop does not require any specific artistic skills other than an open mind! You will need to bring a small sketchbook or I can supply a A5 homemade concertina book. This workshop can be attended on either day as a one off or both days to revisit and refine work produced to get you started on your journey of creativity.
Costs: £55 per workshop. All materials and papers will be included in the price. To secure a place please contact Emma Taylor by email emma@emmataylorprint.-
