‘Sketching as a tool for observing, designing and improving planting’  with Anna Ribo

Sketching and gardening sit naturally together. Being able to sketch basic plant shapes and character is a great help when planning planting, both from scratch and when taking a look at existing planting and thinking about what works and what doesn’t. Sketching allows you to sit quietly and look at gardens and regular sketches can make a wonderful garden journal. Suitable for complete beginners, both in gardening and sketching.

We will practice quick exercises to sketch plant shape and character and take advantage of being in the beautiful surroundings of the planting Sussex Prairies Wild while the garden is closed to the public.

There will be an assortment of pencils, fine liners and watercolours available to use on the course. Please bring a hardback sketchbook. Tea and coffee will be provided.

Cost £55
