Sussex Prairie Garden is open until 13th October 2024. Our opening days and hours are wednesday to sunday . 1pm until 5pm . Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays . Dogs are welcome.
Our next super Event will be our Beautiful and Useful Craft Fair this coming weekend 14th and 15th September - 11am until 5pm - expect over 30 exhibitors all set in a glorious garden setting . Delicious refreshments , live music ,art exhibition , plant sale and of course homemade cake. Dogs very welcome !

Stitching plant surfaces and objects with Susan D’souza Saturday 15th August 10.00-2.00
Pieces and fragments gathered from the garden will provide the starting point for hand stitched work to create unique and personal surfaces and objects that can be dried or photographed to record this memorable and relaxing activity. The workshop has a focus on using found materials, studying the detail in nature and creating something with low or no impact on the environment.

Susan is an experienced college and University textile lecturer who makes and exhibits textile art work. Her practical work looks at details in nature and celebrates colour and her research interests include sustainable fashion and textiles.
