This talk explores ways of gardening that respects and enhances wildlife while also leaving space for the keen gardener. Drawing on her experience as a garden adviser, planting designer and ex-head gardener Anna will give tricks and ideas for adding new life to your garden. We will amongst others look at creating habitats for wildlife, new planting opportunities and ways of working that makes life easier for both insects and gardeners. And we will go for a walk and enjoy the planting at Sussex Prairies while the garden is closed to the public
Anna is a sketching and planting teacher, planting designer and garden adviser. She teaches sketching in lovely gardens where participants engage with nature and find new ways of looking at gardens and planting. She also frequently teaches workshops on planting and hand drawing for members of the Society of Garden Designers. A previous head gardener at Long Barn, she now mainly gardens as part of garden restoration projects.
