Walk For Louise

About Louise

Louise Clark, who passed away very suddenly earlier this year, was well known in our community as the former Administrator to our three local parish churches and as a Governor at St Peter’s School. But Louise was so much more than these titles, she was a bright energetic spark who loved nature, walking, and children. Louise was passionate about Children’s Church and was deeply involved with St Peter’s Little Fishes. We wanted to find a way of meeting to celebrate Louise’s life and so a group of us came together and the Walk for Louise was born.

  • The Date: Sunday 22nd August 2021
  • The time: we ask you to start walking between 1pm and 2pm
  • The start points: will be at our three churches, St Peter’s Henfield, St Giles’ Shermanburyand St Peter’s Woodmancote with registration desks to collect your wrist bands
  • The destination: Sussex Prairie Gardens

About Protecting our Countryside

  • We are so lucky to live surrounded by such beautiful countryside, lets enjoy it, as far as possible the route avoids main roads and follows rural footpaths
  • Lets also be aware that a developer wants to cover this area with houses and we want the walk for Louise to reflect her love of our countryside and our passion for protecting it
  • The day will also celebrate the launch of a new “3 Parishes Walking Trail” and we will be walking a part of that route – see website hiddenhenfield.co.ukAbout Donating
  • This is a free event but if you would like to donate all money collected will be donated for the Children’s Church projects and Little Fishes group which Louise loved
  • There will be collecting buckets at the churches and Sussex Prairie gardens so please bring some cash or you can donate using the following QR code, or via https:// cafdonate.cafonline.org/12987About our Community Joining Together

Most importantly this is a great opportunity for our community to come together to celebrate the life of Louise Clark by doing some of the things that she loved. We hope that as many of you as possible will be able to join us and we look forward to seeing you.
