Sussex Prairies is open from 2nd June until 10th October 2021 inclusive. We are open five days a week , 1pm until 5pm closed on Mondays and Tuesdays . No need to Book to Visit .You are welcome to bring picnics. Dogs also welcome. Our final day of opening for our 2021 season will be Sunday 10th October inclusive .

We will experience the joys of Gelliprinting to produce layered, patterned and textured backgrounds. These numerous prints which are made using layers of acrylic paints will explore the harmonious and vibrant colours of the garden around us.
Join Lorraine and make an attractive Peony Cloche plant support from Willow, suitable for supporting Peonies and other plants and flowers in your garden. This is a relaxing, mindful workshop that is easy on the hands.
We will explore the many exciting possibilities of collagraph printmaking by building up tex- tures and marks with a variety of collage materials on a mount card plate. You will learn how to construct interesting textured printing plates using metallic card, papers and precut pattern pieces as well as tapes and found textures before cutting areas away.
This course is for anyone who has wanted paint with watercolours in a free and loose way outside. We will explore techniques, traditional and experimental and find ways to connect these methods to the environment around us.
We will forage for materials in the gardens and surrounding farmland and then return to make tools using traditional, hand made techniques. We will then utilise our tools to make beautiful marks with ink on paper.
