Sussex Prairies is a large open space and gives plenty of scope for a safe visit in the restful open air and beautiful Sussex countryside.

If you wish to visit the garden regularly during August , you may wish to buy one of our excellent value ALL OF AUGUST TICKETS, which will allow you entry as often as you like, without requiring you to pay each time you visit. eg . Only £28 for an individual ticket and £…. for a family ticket (admits two adults and up to three children)

Why not go to our website shop “Buy Tickets” to buy an All of August ticket in readiness for our best month of opening. Alternatively when you arrive at the garden for your first visit please enquire at the ticket office if you would like to buy an All of August ticket on the day.

You can buy a day ticket at the gate, but it will cost the full day entry price.Payments can be made by cash or card.

The Teashop will be serving teas, coffee and homemade cakes and ice cream which you can enjoy inside the teashop , on the terrace or throughout the garden.  There will be no sandwiches or savouries on offer.It is simple fare with our same great homemade cakes on offer. You are very welcome to bring and enjoy picnics in the garden  but please do take your rubbish home with you!

Enjoy our stunning garden during our best month of August . We encourage visitors to walk right into the flower beds and enjoy the plants up close – a unique experience.

Dogs

We love dogs at Sussex Prairie Gardens and we are one of the few gardens that welcome them.

We provide water bowls at the cafe. We do ask that you please keep them under control on a short lead and that you clear up after them. We provide bags and bins.

By car from the M23

The M23 merges into the A23 heading south towards Brighton. Turn off at Hickstead, and travel through Sayers Common and then on the B2118 to Albourne. Turn right (at the brown sign) to Albourne village and towards Henfield on to the B2116.

Follow this road for approximately 3 miles. You will reach Sussex Prairies at Morlands Farm which is situated on your left hand side. A purple buffalo by the roadside and a row of very tall mature poplar trees indicates the garden.

Follow signs for parking in the field next to the house.

By car from the coast

From Shoreham by Sea follow the A 2037 north towards Henfield, passing through small Dole and Henfield. From Henfield, take the A281 towards Horsham. About half a mile after leaving the village, turn right (at the brown sign) on to the B2116 towards Albourne (Wheatsheaf Road).

Follow this road for just over a mile. You will reach Sussex Prairies at Morlands Farm which is situated on your right hand side. A purple buffalo by the roadside and a row of very tall poplar mature trees indicates the Garden.

By rail

We are an hour and a quarter from London Victoria station and only half an hour from Gatwick Airport . Take the Brighton line and get off at Hassocks station. We are approximately 7 miles from the station.

Taxis should be booked in advance if wishing to travel from the station to Sussex Prairies. Plan ahead!

By bicycle

Why not cycle? You can easily bring your bike on the train and we are 40 minutes cycle from Hassocks station.

* We offer complimentary Carer tickets for visitors who require a carer to accompany them  You are still required to  pre-book your tickets so we can accommodate everyone coming to the garden. These tickets are exclusively for the use of carers who are accompanying the person they care for to the show. Proof of eligibility is required to use this ticket.

Your “All of August” Ticket will give you unlimited visits to Sussex Prairie Garden during August season – 1st August until 31st August 2025 inclusive during normal opening hours (see below).

Sussex Prairies shall be open Wednesdays through to Sunday during August only, closed Mondays* (except Bank Holiday Monday 25th August when we shall be open ) and Tuesdays. Opening hours are 12 noon until 5pm.
