Autumn Painting Course with Katie Sollohub

Wednesday 27th September 2017 - Thursday 28th September 2017 | 9:00am - 2:00pm
Spend 2 days painting in the idyllic setting of the Sussex Prairie Gardens. Here you can explore the garden and step into the flowerbeds to really immerse yourself face to face with the plants. There will be a few guided exercises to get you started, as well as a group meditation each day, after which it is over to you – make the most of this opportunity to work in situ (en plein air) on a scale that suits you. Bring your own paints (oils or acrylics) and brushes etc, and surfaces to work on (paper, board, canvases). I will bring additional materials and paper. There are no easels, but plenty of chairs and benches, or work flat on the ground.
The day starts at 9am with a welcome coffee. The studio and gardens are ours until 2pm, after which the teaching day ends but feel free to stay and work in the garden as long as you like (closes 5pm). The cafe serves drinks, cakes and sandwiches, or you can bring your own lunch. Suitable for those with some painting experience.
