Create & Maintain an Ornamental Kitchen Garden
Join us in our beautiful Sussex Prairie garden to discover how we built and maintain our ornamental edibles garden – The Sussex Prairie Potager.
No matter what size of kitchen garden you have or would like to create, from a few pots on the patio to a full size allotment, this course will help ensure your growing space is both productive and attractive.
On this course you will –
> Discover how we turned a forgotten corner of a green field into an attractive and productive kitchen garden.
> Explore different methods for successfully producing prolific edible harvests from no dig beds to giant raised planters.
> Gain hands on experience of how to plan and construct a space for growing your own mixed edibles and ornamentals.
> Benefit from our many years of practical experience selecting & growing and productive and attractive edible crops. Including cultivar choice, companion planting, environmentally friendly pest control, crop rotation, sowing, planting and nurturing.
> Take away a plan to create your own attractive kitchen garden or develop further the one you already have. No matter how large or small!
All tools and gardening materials will be provided.Please bring a notepad and paper and wear what you would wear to do a bit of light gardening.
