The spring Dawn Chorus is one of Britain’s most incredible wildlife experiences.
As the sun rises we will head out into the gardens to enjoy this amazing avian choir as the birds take their positions and sing from the treetops and bushes.
Sussex naturalist Michael Blencowe will guide us around the gardens and help us to identify each singer. We’ll be listening out for Nightingales, Cuckoos, Yellowhammers, thrushes, warblers and many more.
Then we’ll head indoors for tea, coffee and breakfast pastries while Michael gives an illustrated recap on the birds we have heard.
There are very exciting developments underway at Sussex Prairies that will be taking shape over the coming months and years, all for the benefit of our natural environment. This is event is part of our Wild Workshops – an inspiring programme of craft, nature, wellbeing and horticultural workshops throughout 2025
Michael Blencowe is a naturalist and author who has been leading wildlife events across Sussex for 20 years giving thousands of people the opportunity to experience and enjoy our wildlife. michaelblencowe.com.
