Flowers and Fused Glass workshop
On 18th October 10-1 pm
Miranda Ellis and CarolineAdams will be showing you how to make beautiful dried flower hangings, incorporating papier mache and fused glass.
Miranda is an artist and creates garden sculptures in glass, showing at Sussex Prairie Wild, the
Brighton Festival and galleries nationally .
Caroline was a member of the Sussex Prairies team for some
years and with her knowledge of plants will show you
a perspective of the garden to get you inspired !
Using the flowers we have grown specially for today and the colourful garden pollinators as our inspiration. In a relaxed environment we will guide you through the process of Working with dried flowers , papier-mâché and fused glass. This mixed media workshop introduces different processes:
You will have the opportunity to learn
You will be able to take your work home, apart from the glass which is fired professionally in a kiln, then you can attach it to your hanging or keep as a stand alone piece.
Glass will be ready for collection
from Brighton or posted approx 2 weeks after the course.
Old clothes , closed toe sturdy shoes recommended.
All levels and experience welcome
Includes materials , access to the garden and delicious scones with tea or coffee
