Watercolour is a magic potion…
Come learn some of its secrets and capture the spirit of this inspiring garden.
Embrace the happy accidents that inevitably occur with this mercurial medium, and also learn easy and effective techniques to create beautiful paintings of a wide variety of plants and flowers.
For first time beginners or more advanced painters alike, you will be amazed at what you can achieve.
£55. Price includes the entry to the garden, use of the Garden Room till 2 pm, (and you are welcome to join me and stay and paint in the garden till 5pm, weather permitting.) and some materials, (sponges, straws, sticks, ink,view-finders, etc…).
You will need to bring:
-Watercolours
-An A-4 or larger pad or sketchbook of 140lb (300gm)cold-pressed or rough watercolour paper
-pencil, rubber, old toothbrush, a permanent marker (a “sharpie” or rotring pen, anything with waterproof ink.)
You might also want to bring a folding chair, or a waterproof mat to sit on outside.
Seana Mallen is an internationally acclaimed artist who loves to share her passion for watercolour. She has exhibited her work in galleries from California to the Middle East, including the Royal Academy.
She has over 30 years teaching experience at university and adult education level. Her favourite thing in life, along with painting, is watching her students blossom and thrive.
