Garden Tour and Cream Tea

Enjoy an exclusive private tour of Sussex Prairies with Head Gardener Paul McBride , Owner Pauline McBride or Garden Manager Nick Bielby ,followed by a delicious cream tea on the garden terrace or in the teahouse. 

Starting with a dramatic overview of the entire garden and farm. from the RIBA award winning viewing tower ,You will then be expertly guided around and through the prairie borders and wider garden and farm.  We will teach you about our  naturalistic design and the plants that we have chosen for our particular type of gardening style .The tour will also include a tour around the Tropical garden, and Tower garden and we will introduce you to our new ideas and projects related to our new rewilding initiative.

After a tour of the Garden, you will be treated to a delicious cream tea (large fruit scone , Rhoddas clotted cream and Tiptree strawberry jam ) and a selection of tea or coffee served on our garden terrace or in the teashop . Please indicate at the time of booking whether you have any special dietary requirements .

  • Please wear suitable footwear for visiting a garden /farm
  • Please wear appropriate clothing for the time of year

  • The tower has two flights of stairs to reach the top.
  • Please take care around water in the garden
