Indian Summer Bazaar – Come Craft with us – A sunset event

COME CRAFT WITH US !

A creative evening for the whole family!
With block printing workshop, weaving, lampshade making, flat lay collage, Christmas card and cracker making, this is a great opportunity to have some fun and learn new skills.  Our special guests will be demonstrating their particular talents.  Included in adult ticket prices are delicious vegetarian curries from Alex’s “Kesari Dhaba”.

Lampshade Making

Lampshade maker and pattern junkie, Natalia Price-Cabrera, will show you how to make a simple drum lampshade from your favourite piece of fabric.  She will also teach you to hand-tailor a soft sided lampshade plus there will be a cheat’s guide to decoupaging an existing lampshade with treasured off cuts (no waste!).  Be inspired to upcycle, recycle and re-love your home and its lighting.  No two lampshades need ever be the same again!

Please note Natalia’s workshop and advice will be on a demonstration only basis.

Sonia Boriczewski
Styling and Photographing your Craft and Collections

Sonia from The Old Haberdashery will be sharing some of her top shopkeeper secrets and tips on how to style and photograph your crafty makes or your treasured collections; with Instagram worthy photos taken on your phone.  Watch the demonstration and have a go yourself.  Curate and style a group of objects or learn the art of flatlay.  Through the use of interesting props, fabrics and textures learn about the joy of creative display, just bring a camera phone!
