KIMAI – Gentle Movements, Joyful Moments’
We invite you to experience Beauty, Grace and Love through the art form of Kimai – ‘Energy Dance’ in Japanese. Kimai, based on chi kung, tai chi and Indian mudras, is a rare art form and becomes the unique creative expression of the artist.
Linda Joy Gale lived in Japan for 25 years and discovered Kimai, a little known treasure and a wonderful gift for her, immediately after she ended her 20 year career in marketing. She studied with Kazumi Komine Sensei for five years and became her assistant. Linda performs in a beautiful kimono, which is not only a work of art in itself but it also serves to enhance the Kimai.
Nature often responds, so Linda welcomes outside performances and she considers The Sussex Prairies the perfect location!
On Linda’s return to England, she was introduced to Meditation des Tanzes, a sacred circle dance form, so she now includes a couple of group circle dances she has created into her performance. So if you wish, please do join in when she invites you!
Pay to come into the garden and Linda will be dancing for you !
