During this special new event you’ll learn all about the beautiful butterflies and moths that can be found in your garden and in the Sussex countryside.
Through illustrated indoor presentations tutor Michael Blencowe will teach you about the life cycles of butterflies and moths, how to identify them, their vital role as pollinators and how to attract them to your garden. Then we’ll head out into the Prairie Garden (before it’s open to the public) on a guided wildlife walk to search for the butterflies that can be found here. You’ll also have the unique opportunity to come face to face with the amazing moths as we open and inspect the previous night’s moth survey (and you can help us release the moths back into the garden).
Handouts and an identification poster will be provided along with tea / coffee and biscuits. After the course your ticket also allows you to stay and explore the garden for the rest of the afternoon.
