Natural Dyes & Inks Workshop with Susan D’souza

Saturday 2nd August 2025 | 10:00am - 12:00pm

Natural Dyes & Inks Workshop with Susan D’souza

This workshop introduces you to a range of natural dyes and inks that can be used for hand painting and drawing. We will explore with demonstrations and recipie sheets how to make one fabric paint from natural dye extract and how to make one botanical ink. A bigger range of pre-made inks and dyes will be available to test and you will learn how to modify these to achieve an even greater range of tones and shades. Paper / fabrics will be provided to make either a colour chart or a small sample book.

No previous textile experience is necessary this is a relaxed and creative textile workshop. Those with more experience are welcome to use the session to develop their own ideas and learn new approaches with tutorial guidance.

Cost: £75 including tea, coffee & biscuits, all materials plus garden entry.
