In this fun -filled creative 3D workshop you will experiment with at least two to three different construction methods to create sculptural pot forms using repurposed card and papers wherever possible. You will also practise at least two decorative surface design techniques using paint, ink, papier mache and collage.
At the end of the session you will take home 2-3 completed pot forms and lots of ideas about how to further develop this compelling creative activity at home. These quirky and expressive pots are suitable for ornamenting your own home or they will provide unique gifts for others. For those who are looking for an entry into making sculptural forms using readily available materials, it could provide the start to an incredible sculptural journey. The possibilities to work on a similar or larger scale after the course are endless.
All materials such as card and paper stock, paint, tools for mark making, glues, knives, pens, pencils, rulers needed for making your pots on the day are included in the course fee. If you can save your own collection of A3 to A4 sized pieces of cereal packet and postal services card do bring it along with you, that will be appreciated but if not possible, don’t worry, I’ll have plenty. Detailed notes will be sent to you after course completion so that you can continue to develop your interest and skills in this compulsive creative activity.
Self-service coffee, tea, biscuits included in the fee. Cake will be available to purchase in the café, and you may wish to bring a sandwich or similar for lunch on the go.
